So, some major life changes have taken place for me in the past few weeks.   I quit my job of seven (?!?!) years, and switched careers, completely out of my comfort zone.

It's weird...  I'm no longer an air-brush artist/tech guy/carpenter/scrap-metal scrounger/trouble shooter/anything-I-need-to-be-to-make-money-guy.

My new job should take care of most of my expenses.  That's it.  One job.  At one place.  Sure, I'll probably do some jobs on the side still to help pay some expenses for my parents/grandparents if needed.  But... I won't HAVE to work a second job if I don't want to.

And, it's not ideal, I mean, it's a desk job.  And so many people, myself included, would encourage someone to choose to work at a job that makes them happy over a job that makes a little more money.  But, not everyone is going to find a job that makes them feel all warm and fuzzy everyday right?  And sometimes, you just need more money.

And this will give me free time again.  I mean, sure, I had time before, but without money, you find that you run out of things to do really quick, and if you're so tired in that time that you don't feel like moving, much less like doing anything that makes you happy, then it's not worth much.

So, I'm hoping to actually entertain some hobbies again.

Like I said, it's going to be weird...

Help ME!
Sorry little fella.  It looks like it's too late for you.
I spotted this huge writing spider while working a fence line.  Why yes, I am a modern cowboy.  Except the modern fences are electric wire, and I gave up horses for a utility vehicle.  Seriously though, this spider was something like 5-6 inches across.  And I know that there are bigger ones out there, but for one of these, that's a pretty dang good size.

I'm uploading this one in HUGE, gigantic original resolution.  It took 10 minutes to upload the file!  I'm trying out this prints thing.  So I'm going to resist downsizing photos in future so that more of them qualify.  We'll see how that goes.

Hey.  I have nothing but crap journal updates lately do I?

Sorry, life has been a little rough.  You know that old saying about bad things coming in threes?  Totally inaccurate.  More like 3 dozens.  I won't get into details, because really, no one *likes* people moaning about their sad sob stories.   I just don't want to be one of those people who falls off the face of the internet.

So, just letting you know, that yes, I am in fact, for the time being, still alive.   And that's a pretty good thing isn't it?

And I have been sketching!  Just nothing I'm going to post yet, because I'm out of practice and it's really, really pathetic.  :)
